Re: Mr. President, on behalf of an ungrateful nation, thank you

I agree. I think Obamacare and the financial recovery will be his two greatest achievements.

I'm just sitting around here hoping that Trump is the Republican nominee. We could run that proverbial yellow dog and he/she would win!

Re: TFF? Indulge me.

I remember the Braveheart purging on ENC. That was interesting. There was also a purging on TFF that I was largely responsible for. It was some guy from Boston but I forget his pseudonym. That guy was nasty. It seems like he was called "Cabinetmaker" or something like that. Who was that guy?

Re: American Sniper

I read the book, but I haven't watched the movie. I would like to see it though. I think he was an admirable character, but his blind patriotism just doesn't appeal to me. But, I guess he did do a good job at what he was hired to do.

If it had of been a dude wearing a pink cowboy hat, then there might have been some symbolism there. But with it being a dudette, I'm not so sure.

Re: LOVE WINS - SCOTUS rules in favor of marriage equality!

Such a low down distraction from the Sandy Hook lies that Wolfgang Halbig is bringing out in his FOIA hearing where the town selectman said HLS put the sign out on the road saying everyone must check in, and the cover-up of police committing suicide there, the chief retiring, and the lies by all un...

Re: Is this a copperhead? Corn snake?

I thought he was a copperhead, but now I realize his head is the wrong shape entirely. A copperhead has a triangular shaped head. http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee232/foghorn_leghorn_photos/new/snakey_zps7fb5f993.png~original I think this is a corn snake. The one posted by OP is a copperhead.

The reason people can say what you said in the United States is because, again, black life just doesn't matter to a lot of people." I think he NAILED it! I've always agreed with most of what you say OP, but I disagree with this. Freedom of speech has nothing to do with whether or not black liv...

Re: The Battle Flag: Time for the Museum...

Interesting post Oracle. The controversy over the flag is stirring up lots of people who would be better off if they remained calm. Unfortunately, it's also causing us to lose sight of the fact that 9 people were murdered by an idiot; an idiot that found it far too easy to obtain a firearm.

It's a shame that happened, but suicide and murder don't solve problems.

I could be wrong but I doubt that any of those forts will be renamed. I'm not sure about all of them but I believe most of those men also fought in the US Army.

Re: The NCGA Continues to attack education

I wouldn't go so far as to say that. NC's wealthiest in some cases might be attending private schools. I have no problem with private schools as long as they aren't funded with the tax payers money. NC attempted to do that with a voucher system that was knocked down by the courts. The idea was that ...

Re: The NCGA Continues to attack education

I honestly think that the Republican legislators are trying to strengthen private education at the expense of public education. That's a huge mistake. I wonder who keeps voting for these idiots. In the next few years, there's going to be a critical teacher shortage in North Carolina. A recent study ...

The NCGA Continues to attack education

Under the Senate's plan, newly hired teachers in NC will not have health insurance when they retire. I'm glad I was hired before this took place since I plan to retire in 4 years. Of course, who knows what new attacks they'll bring when I get closer to retirement. Our General Assembly is making us t...
