Fox News suspends retired Army officer Ralph Peters, actress Stacy Dash for profane Obama comments

Fox News has suspended two contributors for what it described as "completely inappropriate and unacceptable remarks" about President Obama.

The pair, speaking at different times on the network, were both commenting on President Obama's Oval Office speech dealing with the growing threat of Islamic militants.

Peters, a retired Army Lt. Col. who is described as a Fox News analyst, was asked about Obama's speech by Stuart Varney of the Fox Business Network during a Dec. 7 broadcast. Peters shot back that Obama "keeps speaking about we can't give into our fears. You know, don't be afraid. Look, Mr. President we're not afraid. We're angry, we're pissed off, we're furious.

"We want you to react, do something. You're afraid," he continued. "I mean, this guy is such a total (expletive deleted), it's stunning, and you know, we want — we the people, the American people who he does not know in any intimate sort of manner, we want action.

"We want action against the Islamic State and then — then when the president is telling us he's going to destroy ISIS, this is a president who has done more harm to American police departments than he has done to Islamic State."

Fox News suspends retired Army officer Ralph Peters...

Now, here Porque missed another opportunity to step up to the plate. Here is a retired Army Officer calling the POTUS a "total pu$$y" on National Television, and is in violation of UCMJ.

Under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, one of the many activities deemed punishable by court-martial is "contempt toward officials." This code of laws applies not just to active-duty officers but to retired ones, too. It's right there in Article 2, Section (a) (5): Persons subject to the UCMJ include "retired members of a regular component of the armed forces who are entitled to pay

The key phrase is "entitled to pay." If you resign from the military, and thus give up all retirement pay and benefits, you're free from the clutches of military law. But if you retire and thus keep getting paid 50 percent to 75 percent of your peak active-duty salary (plus cost-of-living adjustments pegged to the consumer price index), you're still in the cage. (Many retirees learned this the hard way, when they were called back into service in Iraq.)
You're not to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it or says it.
