Yep.

Thanks.

Seriously? The intellectual dishonesty of overly simplistic statements is beneath you both.

Dishonesty?

Hardly. Actually, that list is a stone cold fact, as in when religionists stop being haters I'll stop being against religionists. It's quite simple.

well... maybe you are NOT better than that?

Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu was setting up AIDs clinics and serving people in the name of God. How do you rectify that?

Gandhi? MLK? Mandella? There's been a lot of religionist that do exceptional things. My niece is going to Jamaica (in God's name) to work with poor people. I think it's unfair, and unkind, to take all the bad and lump in all the good. In many countries; the Church is all there is in regard to humanism, humanitarism, medical assistance, food aid, etc. Without religion we would be in worse shape. Not better. The world would likely be even more chaotic than it is.

So: to sit in our developed country and say such things is wrong. Even JFK acknowledged such when establishing the Peace Corps:
In that calling, these men would follow the constructive work done by the religious missionaries in these countries over the past 100 years

Doesn't seem very bigoted, now does it? Doesn't register on that list.

Leroy Butler got fired by a church for supporting Jason Collins. That's bigoted.

Who said otherwise?

But that doesn't mean we should ignore or forgive the horrors committed in the name of [insert deity-of-choice here] that are going on unchecked in the world today.
